Time: TBD Location: RMHS Field House, 2nd floor - Wrestling Room This is our town based youth advanced folkstyle/wrestling season. Advanced Wrestling is geared to children in Grades 3-8 but will consider younger children on request. This three-month program (approximately 25 practices with additional scrimmages, dual meets and tournaments) incorporates instruction, conditioning, and games as a means of expanding on the fundamentals learned in the Introduction to Wrestling program. Individuals are divided into groups based on age, weight, experience and ability. Practices are planned for Mondays and Thursdays beginning mid-November. Participants should wear shorts and tight fitting t-shirts (no sweatpants or basketball shorts) for practices and dual meets, but may be required to wear a singlet, wrestling shoes and headgear in tournaments. There is an expectation that 5th-8th grade youth wrestlers will compete against other teams throughout the season as well as in tournaments at the end of the season.
